Practice Philosophy

At Belle Love Integrative Therapy, healing begins with the love you nurture within. I work with those who carry complexity, who feel deeply, live boldly, and often wonder where they truly belong. Whether you see the world differently, feel like an outsider, or struggle to fit the mould, you are welcome here.

Many of the individuals I work with are navigating quiet tension beneath the surface. You might feel the pressure to perform, the weight of perfection, or a longing for something more honest and real. Others come from communities and experiences that have been judged or misunderstood, whether it’s how they love, how they express themselves, or the paths they’ve taken to survive. You may carry shame, live with fear of judgment, or feel like parts of you need to stay hidden. In this space, we gently bring those parts forward. Together, we explore the duality you’ve learned to carry: the light and the shadow, the put-together self and the parts that feel too much, too different, or too taboo. You don’t have to choose between them. You get to be whole.

For over 20 years, I’ve been immersed in subcultures that challenge societal norms. With both lived and academic experience in alternative communities and relationship structures, I’m passionate about supporting those whose identities, desires, or life experiences don’t always fit the script. If that speaks to you, I see you. And I welcome you into a space where authenticity is the starting point.

My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy (PCT), guided by the belief that growth and connection begin with self-love and flourish when we are seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. You’ll be met with warmth, empathy, and deep respect for your inner world as we explore how your relationship with yourself shapes the way you show up, the way you connect, and the way you love. I draw from symbolic interactionism to examine how identity is shaped through roles, expectations, and social meaning. From Jungian psychology, I support the integration of the shadow self, those parts of us we’ve learned to hide, fear, or reject. I also introduce existential principles that invite reflection on meaning, freedom, and responsibility, helping you question inherited narratives and reclaim your own truth. Depending on your needs, I integrate cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for relational work, and body-based somatic awareness practices that deepen connection through mindfulness and experiential tools Every process is tailored to your unique goals, lived experiences, and ways of being.

Integrative, Evidence-Based Approaches

  • Humanistic, Person-Centred Therapy (PCT): Rooted in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, we co-create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Identifying and reshaping thought patterns and behaviours that no longer serve you.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Deepening emotional connection and creating lasting change in your relationships.

  • Jungian Psychology (Shadow Work): Gently exploring the parts of yourself you may have learned to hide, reject, or feel shame about, supporting integration and self-acceptance.

  • Existential Exploration: Reflecting on purpose, values, and identity to support alignment during life transitions or uncertainty.

  • Somatic Awareness: Body-based therapy using mindfulness tools to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and reconnection with your inner wisdom.

  • Symbolic Interactionism: Grounded in the understanding that meaning is shaped through social interaction, this framework provides insight into how your identity, roles, and beliefs have been influenced and how they can evolve.
