My Practice Philosophy

At Belle Love Integrative Therapy, healing begins with the kind of love you cultivate within. I work with those who carry complexity, those who feel deeply, live boldly, and often challenge societal norms. Our work is grounded in the belief that self-love is the cornerstone of meaningful growth and connection. You can expect to be met with empathy, warmth, and deep respect for your inner experience as we explore how love, beginning with your relationship to yourself, shapes your relationships, connections, and presence in the world.

For over 20 years, I’ve been immersed in subcultures that challenge societal norms. With both lived and academic experience in alternative communities and relationship structures, I am passionate about supporting those whose identities or desires defy convention. If that resonates, I see you. In our work, the therapeutic relationship becomes a mirror inviting presence, curiousity, and reflection to foster insight and authentic change.

My foundation is in humanistic, person-centred therapy (PCT), where the therapeutic relationship is at the centre, and the belief is that every person holds the capacity for growth when offered a non-judgmental space where they are seen, heard, and accepted as they are. Alongside PCT, I draw from symbolic interactionism, a sociological lens that examines how identity and meaning are shaped through our social roles and interactions. Blending these foundations, therapy becomes a grounded, present-focused space to explore your narratives, question inherited labels and roles, and reclaim your authentic truth. From this base, we can integrate complementary approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), somatic and experiential methods like Reiki, and emotionally focused therapy (EFT) when working with couples or relationships. The process and modalities are thoughtfully tailored to honour your unique goals and ways of relating to the world.

My Integrative, Evidence-Based Approach:

  • Humanistic, Person-Centred Therapy (PCT): Rooted in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, we co-create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Identifying and reshaping thought patterns and behaviours that no longer serve you.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Deepening emotional connection and creating lasting change in your relationships.

  • Existential Exploration: Reflecting on purpose, values, and identity to support alignment during life transitions or uncertainty.

  • Symbolic Interactionism (my sociological roots): Grounded in the understanding that meaning is shaped through social interaction, we explore how your identity, roles, and beliefs have been influenced and how they can evolve.

  • Reiki & Somatic Awareness (my spiritual roots): Optional body-based tools to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and reconnection with your inner wisdom

Healing begins within. This is a space to slow down, soften inward, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been overlooked, silenced, or buried. Self-love isn’t the end goal; self-love is the ground on which we build our foundation.

Whether you're moving through anxiety, depression, trauma, identity shifts, or simply feeling disconnected, this process invites clarity and reclamation. We’ll explore the patterns that keep you stuck and support the emergence of a more authentic, grounded you.

You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. Therapy is where we get curious together.

Build connection, your way
Relationships can be our greatest teachers and, at times, our greatest challenges. I work with couples, throuples, and groups exploring all forms of relationship dynamics, including ethical non-monogamy, monogamy, and blended structures. Whether you're navigating trust issues, communication breakdowns, boundary setting, or value misalignments, this is a space to speak openly, without judgment.

Together, we’ll explore what you’re really needing in your relationships and co-create tools to strengthen intimacy, self-expression, and mutual understanding.

Healing beyond words
Sometimes, the body carries what the mind can’t express. Reiki-infused therapy offers an integrative path to healing, combining talk therapy with gentle, hands-on energy work to support emotional release, nervous system regulation, and grounded embodiment. As part of my holistic model, Reiki complements psychotherapy by supporting stress reduction, emotional healing, and overall well-being.

I offer in-person sessions that invite you to soften, breathe, and connect with your inner wisdom. You don’t have to believe in energy work for it to support you; simply show up as you are.

I encourage clients to check directly with their provider to confirm whether psychotherapy services from an RP (Qualifying) are included. However, I do not offer direct billing.
